Consul- Gameboy/Gameboy Color
Genre- RPG/Adventure
My Rating-
This is the fourth chapter in the Zelda Saga. It came out for Gameboy in 1993 and the DX version of it came out for Gameboy Color in 1998. Another one of the same type of games-with hard gameplay and a fun storyline that will keep you interested for hours.
The game starts with Link deciding he will go somewhere else to become wiser and for enlightenment, but during this quest, his ship is destroyed by a storm and, clinging to a piece driftwood, closed hs eyes and hoped for the best...
He woke up in the bed of a girl name Marin and her father, Tarin. Marin had found Link helpless and barely alive, washed up on shore. When Link went to the beach to retrieve his lost sword, an owl floated from the sky and told him the strangest story he had ever heard...the story of the Wind Fish.
He told Link that in order for him to leave the island, he must wake the Wind Fish from its sleep. It slept in an egg on top of the island's central mountain, but in order for Link to awaken it, he must play the eight siren instruments, which have been guarded by nightmares in the eight dungeons on the island. Link later learns from a plaque on the wall that this island, Koholint Island, was no more than a dream of the Wind Fish. But Link has no choice but to wake the Wind Fish, so he retrieves the eight instruments and plays them to enter a hole which appeared on the side of the egg. Once there, he must beat the eight shadows who haunt the dreams of the Wind Fish. The Wind Fish then wakes up and Link finds hhimself on a piece of driftwood from his ship, the Wind Fish flying away, Koholint Island...gone. Knowing his friends from Koholint are forever lost, Link's victory was a sad one...
This game is very unique, considering the fact that the entire game is no more than a dream. The game is as fun as any Zelda game and has gameplay that is very hard but fun. It was by far the best Gameboy game.
